OmniTrax is has applied to the Canadian Transportation Agency for the right to run its trains on CN track.  OmniTrax is also seeking to expand their services in other areas too.

"By expanding our area of operations, we can ensure the integrity of the rail network which benefits producers, local communities and industry", stated Gary Rennick, Chief Operating Officer of OmniTrax. "The support and cooperation we have received from the Province and the municipalities involved has been very encouraging throughout this process", he concluded. 

Using some of the funds from CKR sale, Omnitrax still is venturing into rail industry.
