OMNITRAX CANADA ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL UPGRADES AT THE PORT OF CHURCHILL

Winnipeg, Manitoba: OmniTRAX Canada is pleased to announce the installation of a new grain sampling system at the Port of Churchill. The cross cut diverter system will ensure consistency of sampling for inspection and grading of feed peas moving through the Port. OmniTRAX committed $500, 000 for these upgrades.

"The Port has made significant progress in recent years," stated Gary Rennick, Chief Operating Officer. "Last years' 710, 000 tonnes, are a direct result of these kinds of innovative improvements. Our plans are to handle even more board and non board grain through the Port this year" he concluded.

Significant capital expenditures and improvements have been undertaken following purchase of the Port by OmniTRAX in 1997, including: installation of a covered hopper dumping system; replacement of dust control system; upgrades to grain handling system and cleaners; wharf repairs and dredging of the harbour.

"We will continue to seek out additional methods of improving our service offering ensuring that the Port remains the lowest cost option to the Western Canadian shippers" Mr. Rennick concluded.
